Description
Ibtidaiyyah 4 الابتدائية الرابعة is the final and most advanced stage of the Ibtidaiyyah (Primary) Level. It is designed to consolidate all foundational knowledge and skills acquired in the previous stages while preparing learners academically and intellectually for transition into the I‘dādiyyah (Preparatory) Level.
At this stage, learners are expected to demonstrate increased maturity, consistency, and structured understanding across both Arabic and Islamic disciplines.
Focus Areas
The curriculum of Ibtidaiyyah 4 emphasizes the following core subjects:
- حفظ القرآن (Qur’an Memorization) :
Consolidation and expansion of memorized portions with strong emphasis on accuracy, retention, and regular structured revision.
- التجويد (Tajwīd) :
Practical mastery of essential Tajwīd rules, enabling learners to recite the Qur’an with confidence, correctness, and awareness of common errors.
- اللغة العربية (Arabic Language) :
Strengthening comprehension, expression, and structured use of the Arabic language in preparation for more formal linguistic studies.
- النحو (Nahw – Arabic Syntax) :
Introduction to foundational syntactic concepts, enabling learners to recognize sentence structure and basic grammatical functions in a guided and age-appropriate manner.
- الدراسات الإسلامية (Islamic Studies) :
Integrated study of key Islamic teachings, linking belief, worship, and character in a coherent framework.
- الحديث (Hadith):
Study and memorization of selected hadiths with attention to meaning, ethical guidance, and practical application.
- التوحيد (Tawḥīd – Islamic Monotheism) :

Learning Expectations
At this concluding stage of the primary level, learners are expected to:
- Recite and memorize assigned portions of the Qur’an accurately with applied Tajwīd
- Demonstrate foundational understanding of Arabic syntax and sentence structure
- Show clear grasp of essential Islamic beliefs and teachings
- Complete all lessons, assignments, and assessments with consistency and seriousness
- Exhibit academic readiness and discipline suitable for preparatory-level studies
Successful progression requires the completion of all subject requirements and final assessments without exception.
Completion and Certification
Upon successful completion of Ibtidaiyyah 4, learners are awarded an official and authenticated Ibtidaiyyah Certificate, confirming that they have fulfilled all academic and assessment requirements of the Primary Level.
This certification formally qualifies the learner for admission into the I‘dādiyyah Level, where deeper analytical study and advanced engagement with Arabic and Islamic sciences begin.
